Description

UK leading AAA producing studio currently looking for a Games experienced Audio Designer. Overview of the position is todesign and implement audio to the the highest standard for multiple specific projects and assist in agreeing timescales with the line manager.

Key duties to include:
Audio Communication
• Build and maintain good communication & coordination between the audio team and other parts of the team (art, programming, level design, design & production)
• Participate in discussions and take an active interest in each of the audio areas of a project and within the wider audio team
• Liaise with external service providers as required

Audio Process
• Have full understanding of the requirements delegated by line manager.
• Work to the detailed specification of all audio elements signed off by line manager, for creation and implementation
• Working with the agreed specification, maintain output to the schedule, in conjunction with the line manager, for creation and implementation
• Communicate ideas for any additional tasks over and above the delegated work, that will aid the projects audio quality and/or schedule

Project Tasks/Scheduling
• Working from agreed specification and schedule, source, create, process & implement AAA quality sound effects to project specification.
• Ensure all audio is produced in line with the agreed audio vision for the project
• Identify areas requiring innovation and suggest creative and technical audio solutions
• Liaise with the Lead, Senior & Experienced Audio Designers regarding ownership and responsibility for speech assets, including all localisation & music deliverables within agreed timescales
• Regularly report progress to Line Manager and notify them of any changes arising in agreed specification and schedule. Inform them of any implementation issues and agree solutions promptly
• Completes a feature or (part of a) project. Understand impact beyond immediate context
• To adjust, correct and re-work audio where appropriate, applying a logical and analytical thinking approach to the wider implications of any proposed changes
• Assist in the final asset polish & bug fixing across the project

Team Based Activities
• Communicate and participate with peers. Show an openness and seek out opportunities to be mentored
• Actively participate, follow best practices and offers opinions and solutions within the audio team
• Demonstrate a basic understanding of audio concepts
