My client a worldwide developer and publisher of award winning AAA titles currently require a Senior Artist who specialises in Weapons to join their talented Central Art Team.
To be considered for this role you will have proven experience within a Senior Art role and your demo work should highlight your experience in the specified area.
General Overview of the position:
Use substantial experience to design, produce, implement and document art assets to the required standards and assist in agreeing timescales with the Line Manager. Being a pro-active staff member requiring low management input to both achieve and set the required standards. Additionally coaching and mentoring of staff in creative and technical techniques.
Main duties and responsibilities:
Design Art Assets
• Working from requirements delegated by Line Manager, develop a detailed specification. To be agreed and signed off by line manager.
• Working with the agreed specification develop a schedule, in conjunction with Line Manager, for Implementation and Test.
• Identify and report additional tasks over and above the delegated work, that will aid the projects schedule and/ or quality.
Implementation and Testing of Art Assets
• Working from agreed specification and schedule, implement art assets to the required standard.
• Ensure all art assets are produced in line with the projects agreed standards.
• Report progress to Line Manager and inform them of any implementation issues promptly.
• Test all art assets against specification, to ensure they perform as required.
• Fix any bugs identified in owned art assets, either through own testing or by QA.
• Assist in fixing bugs across the project
• Working with other team members to resolve issues identified in implementation.
Documentation
• Ensure all art assets are documented in line with relevant procedures.
• Ensure scheduling documentation is up to date against targets.
• Ensure any tools and processes designed for use by a customer, are fully documented in a useable help file.
Staff Development and Management
• Coaching and Mentoring of staff in creative and technical techniques.
• Staff management.
• Liaise with external service providers as required.
